Camden Students Lead Courageous Protest Over Massive Job Cuts and Charter School Funding Disparities
On Monday, May 20, over 100 students marched to the Camden City School Board building to protest the announced termination of 117 beloved educators and student support staff — including counselors, family advocates, and classroom aides.

Organized by CPSU, the tour highlighted issues like enrollment disparities and co-located charter schools, fostering a call for equitable, community-driven education solutions.

Over the course of two days, a series of events were held at Insight Hospital and Dyett High School, bringing together mayors, grassroots leaders, educators, union leaders, and activists to discuss the pressing issues facing Black communities and the pathways to lasting change.
