CPSU Internship Program
Program Overview
The Camden Parent & Student Union (CPSU) Internship Program offers high school and college students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community organizing, civic engagement, media production, and public policy advocacy. Through this program, interns work alongside CPSU staff and community leaders to strengthen Camden’s public education system and uplift the voices of parents, students, and residents.
Interns will develop leadership skills, learn about grassroots advocacy, and participate in real projects that promote equity, transparency, and justice in Camden’s schools and neighborhoods. The program combines professional development with meaningful community service, preparing participants to become informed, confident leaders and changemakers.

Eligibility
-
Camden resident or student attending a Camden-area high school or college.

Ages 16–24.

Demonstrated interest in education, social justice, or community leadership.

Commitment to 10–15 hours per week for at least one semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer session).
How to Apply
Interested applicants should complete the CPSU Internship Application Form and submit the following:

A short personal statement (250 words) describing why you want to intern with CPSU.

A résumé or summary of your experiences (school, volunteer work, creative projects, etc.).

One reference (teacher, mentor, or community leader).

Selection Process
Selected applicants will be invited for a short interview (virtual or in-person).
